While cloudy weather prevented us from witnessing the renowned Californian sunsets from our balcony, we could envision the scenic beauty that awaited on clearer evenings.

We were fortunate enough to experience both breakfast and dinner at Chandler’s, the resort’s in-house restaurant. The friendly service complimented the unique dishes, such as the Crab Cake Benedict and the delectable Lobster Hash, made with fresh ingredients from the on-site garden.

The spa provided an array of massages, facials, and couples’ treatments, all delivered by a warm and inviting staff.
For golf enthusiasts, Carlsbad presents a haven of opportunities. Although our schedule did not permit us to play, we had the chance to visit the nearby course at The Crossings. It stood out as one of the most picturesque and elegant courses. Cape Rey Resort now offers the Stay to Play package, featuring a one- or two-night stay inclusive of an 18-hole round, complete with carts and parking for two people.
The resort’s gym was exceptional, defying the typical cramped spaces often found in other resorts. The beach across the street can sometimes be a thin strip of sand. The hotel provides shuttle and butler services to the nearby Ponto Beach.
