Hotel Review: Hilton Orlando

Both Rishi and I absolutely loved our stay at the Hilton Orlando. It’s a great hotel and we highly recommend it.

Rooms

We stayed on the 15th floor and I was shocked to see the size of the suite. The room we stayed in had a full living room with a full-size desk as well as a sink above the mini fridge.

Separated with double doors is the huge bedroom. I can definitely say it was one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in. There’s a TV in the bedroom as well as the living room. The bathroom was a standard size hotel bathroom, but what I liked about it was their massage soap bars; it was the first time I’d seen something like that!

Food

My first tip when it comes to food and drink is going to the local 7-eleven to purchase water. The water in the room costs $3 per bottle. We had breakfast twice at the Bistro on the lower lobby and both times were delicious! It is a continental buffet style but with much better presentation and freshness than most hotel breakfast buffets. There were fresh fruits from pineapples and strawberries as well as a “make your own” parfait station with endless options. There were fresh breads and croissants, as well as newly baked goods. Fresh lox and other charcuterie were also an option. There was also a cook ready to make your custom eggs order. You can upgrade your breakfast for a cost if you want an omelet, bacon, and sausages.

We also ate lunch at Tropics Pool Bar & Grill where the burgers were delicious. We had some appetizers at Dave’s Club Bar & Grill. The atmosphere there is great for sports events. They’ve got huge TV’s and lounge style couches.

Grounds

Hilton Orland felt like a full resort to us. We spent some time swimming at the huge pool and slide. Rishi’s favorite part was their lazy river! We probably went on it 3 times! There’s plenty of chairs around the pool so we had no trouble getting a good spot.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the fire pits they have on in the evenings. It’s perfect for when it gets a little chilly at night. We made some s’mores which they provided in our room equipped with the long sticks to roast marshmallows.

There’s a great lobby bar, a marketplace that sells Starbucks coffee, a steakhouse, and a fitness center and spa which we didn’t have time to experience.

The hotel caters to many company conferences that come through which is great since it felt more of adults vibe. Even though the hotel seems great for families, we didn’t notice that many kids around.

Service

The service was impeccable. We had a warm welcome at check-in. Housekeeping cleaned our room twice in a day, once while we were at the pool and again when we went out for dinner, leaving us chocolates by our bed. All the servers we had from breakfast to lunch, to the apps at Dave’s Club were extremely professional and pleasant. There was always someone at the parking gate to help if your key card wasn’t working. The thing we noticed the most and even though everyone had great customer service, there were still a few ladies walking around surveying and making sure everyone was satisfied. You can tell they really cared.

We had a blast at the Hilton Orlando, so much so that we cancelled a day out of activities so that we would have more time to spend at the hotel! We hope to be back next time!
