Air Transat has dropped their spring and late-summer flights to Amsterdam from Vancouver down to only $686 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

Flights are non-stop, which typically goes for $900.

Open-jaw flights are also available!  You can fly non-stop into London and non-stop out of Amsterdam for only $590 to $608 CAD. The flight between the two cities is not included. You can typically get a cheap flight with a low-cost budget carrier such as Ryanair or Easyjet for $30-40 one-way.
